No, it's not the future. It's a toy.
Imagine for a moment dealing with a thousand photos using Surface
and using a mouse. Which requires least effort? The mouse. You
have to move your hand much, much, less distance to accomplish the
same task. Also note that in dealing with that many photos (or
anything else) how many times you have to stop and clean the screen
with Surface?
As a toy, it's fun. As a tool, it has limited application.
