Hi Alan, I'm not looking so much to argue and change minds as I am to try and find others who are also interested in thinking beyond the mash-up. If you know of such groups, please recommend one so that I can join their mailing lists. If none exist, then we should create one with a purpose that does emphasise how important the map is (hence OSM is great despite SteveC being Mr Mash-up), but defines a desire to move past the categories and layers that are damaging data. It is a little ironic that a group like this should need to categorise itself, whereas the real grouping is the message here or the idea there occurring across many conversations in many places. I have looked, and my failure to find my camping spot in the ecology of ideas is indicative of the need for a better search function. :) Steve. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking
