That kind of thing seems unlikely to help him in a legal case: it's stronger evidence that his current efforts would be limiting Maponics ability to make money off something which they are claiming is theirs. If he was charging so much for it that Maponics wasn't seeing a dip in their sales as a result, I don't think that the case would have gone very far, because one of the key aspects of litigating copyright violation has to do with the damages being related to the money lost, I think...
