HI!
My female gerbil Tyra is sick. I don't really understand why. Because I
haven't done anything that I usually don't do with my gerbils.The day before
she got sick she was running on the floor a bit, but other than that she has
just been in her cage.
She just lies in her house. The first day (when she was sick) she moved a
bit around, but she seemed to have lost her balance completely. Her eyes are
jammed shut now and she can barely see (she struggles to open them). I don't
know what to do. She won't drink or eat. right no she doesn't move at all. I
turned her around because she has lied on the same side for a day or so. Her
cagemate Tasha helps are taking care of her and keeps her warm, but I wonder
if anyone has experienced something similar?? Tyra isn't a year yet so it
can't be "old age problems".
It is terrible to watch her lie there suffering (it has lasted for two days
now). Is there anything a vet could do for her??
