Ok, this is what I THOUGHT:
FIRST OF ALL, I'm sure you've heard of a little something called constructive
criticism? From what you wrote, all I see is what you think Kristen is doing
wrong, and how other peopel are doing it better than her; basically telling
her that her attempts at helping gerbils is not a good one at all. That is
no way to help somebody out! If you really wanted to give some serious
constructive input, you could have suggested different ways for her to change
her plan. Telling her she is wrong is not doing any good. You saw the
response you got from her. Anything come out of it? NO. I'm part of the
committee that writes those articles for the newletter, unfortunately I
didn't get anything written fast enough to get it in before you read it. Its
not an article, really, its more like a running story. But anyway, what I
would advise her is that she needs to tone down her efforts somewhat.
Keeping it a local operation would improve the situation. The web page could
be used for updates and articles about what is going on, and about how other
people can help IN THEIR AREA.
Basically, why don't you just look through her plan and see how it could be
changed to have a more positive effect on the issues at hand? It would make
for a much more informative and friendly mailing list if everybody thought
things through before e-mailing negative thoughts.
