Shipping mammals without a person accompanying the animals is a very
risky business. it is not surprising that the postal service regulations
prohibit it. I know in the past the exact part of the regulations has
been cited here.
I realise that there are post service personnel who will help ship
animals, but I also know that anyone who tried shipping gerbils by Royal
Mail in the UK would have the full weight of the law thrown at them if
they suffered in any way.
