I ship my gerbils using USPS. They are aware that they are gerbils. My
postmaster said that since gerbils are not listed on the "Do Not Send"
list, I could ship them. It is what is considered to be a loophole and
so it is not illegal. I have been shipping for 3 years now and I have
only had one occasion where the gerbils were mishandled. My postmaster
refunded the value of the dead gerbil and had that person fired. Seems
to me that if shipping gerbils was illegal, these actions could not have
been done.
Just my thoughts on the subject,
