I currently have a female jird with a very large ovarian cyst. As she is
3+ years, has cataracts and no tail (this had to be amputated a year ago
when another jird bit through the nerve), I decided against considering
surgery. A month ago I took her to the vet for a professional opnion. He
confirmed an ovarian cyst and said it was so big it was in danger of
compromising her internal organs and that the prognosis was poor. However,
apart from incontinence, she continues to flourish.
