How long does it take for a gerbil to moult out?
I rescued that one golden undercoated one with the black
ticking; with the 'moustache' of black and the prominent ring
just where the tail starts, of black that fades off to gold at the
tip. The top of the head is gold; and the rest of the animal
has a very heavy ticking....
She looks the same (I sketched where the dark parts
were and all) as when I got her about six weeks ago.....
Also another query about my mystery little girl....
I matched her color to a blend of DMC floss #'s 453, 648, 842.
The are a light tan grey, a light warm grey (peach beige)
and a coolish light grey. If one strand of each is mixed
together and stitched; and this is held up to her, this is
her color tone exactly. She is very slightly darker along
the head and along the spine, and very slightly lighter
on the underside from throat to tail.
The coat is self colored from skin to tip. Skin is pink.
Nails are 'clear'. Eyes are red.
I am thinking she is either a dove (but that dang beigh-ey
tan tinge says otherwise) or a sapphire....she definitely
does not have a lilac tinge; as some have pointed
out that is a definite lilac flower purple tinge.
