I am not sure if its normal, but it has happened to me before. The father
loved this certain pup, and always kept it close to him.
2. Some of her pups seem to be scattered a bit today, one pup about 6 inches
away from the rest, I have ben hearding them all back into one pile but
should I add a nest box to the aquarium (20 gallon aquarium) and if so what
should it be made out of and how should i introduce it put the pups in for
her or let her do it since it will probebly hae a strange scent?
This has also happened to me, sometimes when you walk into the room it
startles the mother, and when she is nursing and gets startled, she runs
around scattering the pups. Also, some of my pups at day 2 have crawled out
of the nest (while the mother and father were eating) but after they ate she
came back to nurse them.
Thanks and sorry I'm asking so many questions, just nervous about my first
litter :) I was nervous about my first litter too, I didn't know if touching
them too much would bother the parents, or if I didn't do anything the pups
would die. Both questions above happened to me with my first litter too, but
all 3 survived.>>
