As will shades and curtains to keep the sun from shining
into the room if it can durning the day.  You need to arrange
so that air can move freely if you are using the window to
help air circulation, but keep the sun from shining in.  It
does not take much sunshine to heat up the room fast.

Of course, keep your cage out of direct sun or direct draft.
