Hi again,
a few days ago I asked advice about an intro between an olser
male and two male babies.
We are in the middle of the secong try right now after 5 days
of split cage, and things are very tense. I have the cage right next to me
on the floor and the gloves ready.
They've been together for about 2 1/2 hours and the older male seems
very annoyed with the two youngsters. He has intensely preened them,
but definitely doesn't want them in his nest. He goes to sleep and they
try to snnek in with him, but immediately get chased out again.
I can't take my eyes off them for a second.
The older male has been alone for 5 months and was the agressor
in the fight with his former companion, after being the submissive
gerbil before.
Should I give up, if things haven't settled down by tonight, when I have to
go to work?
I don't trust my husband and daughter to watch them, then. They get
sidetracked very easily <smile>
