A couple of points, not everything is illegal everywhere. For example,
breeding of animals may require local licenses. This is especially true
with animals like Duprasi and Bushy-Tailed Jirds. In other places there

Also, although it is illegal to own gerbils in California, is the list
to ban people in California asking advice on care of their gerbils? My
experience is that many people in California keep gerbils and are
surprised when they are told they are doing something illegal. How will
we know who lives in California, and who does not?

I have an idea for a gerbil project:
Lets get someone to figure out the legal and illegal points to gerbil and
other family owning.
Someone should go out on the net and find out what is illegal and where.
>From gerbil owning, to bredding, and shipping. Also other related animals
such as fat tailed gerbils, jirds, duprasi and others.
All information found should be e-mailed to someone to sumerize and
organize. It should then be okayed by the GMl and listed in the charter.
In the charted it would serve as to let people know what is illegal where
they are or where they are going. It should mention that promothion of
illegal activities is not promitted on this list.
I feel it should be at least known. It shouldn't be put there to tell
people what to do, but to tell them what is illegal by law.
**If it isn't put in the charter, or if this idea of mine isn't accepted by
the bulk of the list, I'd like to work with a couple people and get it put
up on my web site.
I'd like to take a tally fo who likes my idea, and who doesn't. If you
would like to help, please includes it with your vote.
