Tetracyclene questions

Hi list,
Does tetracyclene help prevent illnesses for gerbils? Can it hurt them. None
of the pets stores by me carry it. If it helps prevent can someone ship me
some? I wil pay shipping and the cost of it. Please get back to me soon.
