Hi Lisa, Look in the bird section for a product called Orynacycline (the
drug it contains is Tetracycline). You should be able to find it in the
super stores such as PetCo or PetSmart. Follow the dosage for canaries
for 10 or 14 days. I only make up 2 ounces at a time since the mixture
is only good for 24 hours (and gerbils don't drink very much in one day)
by breaking up the tablet into appropriate sized pieces. For example if
a tablet is for 8 ounces of water I break the tablet into quarters.
When you are finished with the treatment clean out the bottle very, very
well or it will get gross/moldy. Good luck, Donna
