Hi everyone,
Firstly thanx to everyone who gave me advice on "greasy fur" My gerbils are
still not really using the sand to clean themselves, but I'm trying
everything! Perhaps French gerbils are supposed to be like that?!!
This morning I noticed that they had eaten the hooks that the plastic
ladders have in their cage. The problem is without the ladders they cannot
make full use of their 3 story cage. They love running up and down the
ladders. I thought of trying to make one out of wood, but I'm not sure that
this will work. Any suggestions?
I also wondered if anyone has any tips on making my 7 week old gerbils stay
still when I take them out of the cage. I have heard that they calm down
when they get older. I have tried giving them treats in my lap, but they
ignore them and just run round looking and smelling everything. Any ideas?
