Hi Christina,
Instead of ladders, maybe you can make a pile of stuff (rocks, pots, whatever)
they could climb to get to higher levels. I don't know how big the cage is,
but you can really get creative with things you find around the house. And if
the pile creates some nooks for them to go into, even better. Just make sure
you use hard materials (metal, stone etc.), sterilize everything and make sure
its secure inside the cage (glue things together if necessary - you don't
wasn't an avalanche...). I love making stuff like that for my gerbs - it's fun
for you AND them.
