Hi!
I am the new "Mom" of Donna Anastasi's little
brother and sister. The Gerbils are doing wonderful!
As for the pest problem..I have been a parrot owner
for 10 years and have battled seed moths in the mix more than once. An
easy way to prevent the infestation from that is to keep the major portion of
seed in the freezer and only take out enough for a couple days at a
time.
The temperatures in the freezer kills the eggs and
any larve that may have been in the seed prior to packaging.
(Finally I had something to
contribute!)
