Susan wrote: Hi!I am the new "Mom" of Donna Anastasi's little brother and sister.  The Gerbils are doing wonderful!As for the pest problem..I have been a parrot owner for 10 years and have battled seed moths in the mix more than once.  An easy way to prevent the infestation from that is to keep the major portion of seed in the freezer and only take out enough for a couple days at a time.The temperatures in the freezer kills the eggs and any larve that may have been in the seed prior to packaging.(Finally I had something to contribute!)Nice to say hello to all of you.And a special HI to Donna.Susan Fitts I'll keep that in mind, but I haven't had any problems with moths yet.  I am familiar with those, as my brothers and sister split three dwarf hamsters between them and were plagued by moths.  I have only seen roaches, and hopefully dealt with those today.  But, if I do have any problems, I'll remember what you said.  Also, my brothers and sister kept their food in a supposedly airtight canister, but were continually plagued.
