Hi all,
A while back I asked if Barley straw was ok bedding for Gerbs. Noone said
anything either way, so I figured I'd start using it. Now with all this talk
coming up of amputations and choking and stuff, I'd thought I'd double
check.
The barley straw is quite long, up to an inch or two, strands. Could this
amputate a leg? It is fairly tough material. They do eat quite a bit of the
straw. Would that choke them?
Hope I'm doing the right thing. They do all the usual digging and tunnelling
stuff with it, and seem to like it.
Stephen
