Hi Sarah,
If I've done the split cage I do it in the cage (I
just take out the divider).
If it is an "easy" introduction where I have not split
cage them, that I do it in a fresh, small tank (10
gallon washed, with nothing but two inches of fresh
litter).
In either case wear gloves and be ready to abort the
mission.
