Hi, is there anything besides genetics that can cause tumors? We have 2 more male gerbils with beginning scent-gland tumors (they are a little over 2 years old brothers) and we just discovered a growth on one of our dwarf hamsters backs. Are we just unlucky, or is there anything else that could contribute. The gerbils are already scheduled for surgery (one this Thursday, the other the week after), and we just discovered the tumor on our hamster tonight. He is a 1 year old male Campbell. Can anyone tell me more about tumor surgery in hamsters, please? I'd appreciate any input! -- Best regards, Susanne mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
