Greetings folks,

I imagine this is a sensitive issue and I really mean no offense in
asking.

My chief goal in breeding is good...no -=excellent=- temperament
and health. I am sure most here are of a like mind. So what do
you do when you have (either by acquisition or breeding) a "bad
seed" in the mix? An animal that is sickly or (as my daughter
calls it) "evil" - as in cannot be tamed even to the point of not
biting? I am asking because I am working as a rescue resource as
well and I am certain some of these furkids will be from far from
great lines.

I feel it is my responsibility as a breeder to protect pet owners from
such animals and to worry for the best welfare of the animals. I will
try my utmost to tame an animal, even if I can't tame them beyond
the point that I would allow them to leave my home. But I could
see a potential problem with space if one keeps all the nasties
rescued.

I am interested in what others here do in such an
instance....thoughts?

With a curious look,
Deborah
