I have several gerbils that will let me pet them.
They don't mind being held and they don't flinch when
I pet their heads or their backs. Others do. They
don't like me to touch their heads and backs at all,
so I leave them alone. But the ones thatlet me pet
them seem to like it. As long as it's gentle petting.
