update on my gerbil

after I took home my gerbil from school it was biting. I got some replies with suggestions that didn't work. later on I found out he was territorial and so I would put him in a box everytime I would pick him up. now when ever i do that even in the box he bites me and one time when I did pick him. I have gloves on but he can bite through the gloves. so now I don't know why he is still biting me I wash my hands everytime I pick him up he has cardboard to chew on so I don't know why he is doing this. He seemed pretty tame throughout the week he didn't bite me oncebut now he started again do you have any advice????                                                         ~*Jenny Blum*~
