Hi - I have this gerbil baby who is in a cage with it's Momma.  The other 3 babies died and I'm nost sure why.  well 3 days ago I noticed the Momma was making clicking wheezing sounds so being familiar with respitory problems I took her to the vet and got some antibiotics.  I am giving the Momma drop or 2 per day and also put some in the water bottle, she seems to be getting better, I haven't given any to the baby though, she is 3 weeks old (approx - she opened her eyes yesterday).  My questions are 1) should I be giving her antibiotics too - I'm giving her kitten milk once a day - 2) when will the baby be weaned and when should I stop feeding her kitty milk, I'm also putting some baby oatmeal in the cage.
