All neutering will do is alter the ability to reproduce- you can't count on it to change any behaviors or instincts already present, or that would be natural for the gerbil. If it is an arrangement that likely wouldn't work out with an intact male, then I wouldn't give it a better chance of working just because the male is fixed. Jill
