Hi, all! I have had a pair split caged for ten days,
and they are kinda trying to snuggle against the wire,
and they are not trying to rip each others noses/feet
up anymore, so I hesitently put them together. . .
they did this little circle, trying to check each
other out, then they rolled in a ball.

I cannot say they were fighting, as there was no
noise, but breaking up the ball was not easily
accomplished. It actually looked as though they were
both trying to groom the other simultaneously, but it
made me uncomfortable, so I separated them again.

So, dear list, when you first put them together, how
do they normally behave? Should I have left them alone
as long as it wasn't a squeaking, noisy obvious
fight?

These are both adults, both have had partners in the
past. I have seen the female fight before, and was
bitten while breaking it up, and it was a pretty noisy
encounter. Guess that's why I am leery of letting them
be together. . . I really like this male and don't
want to see him demolished! But, I just checked and
they are laying pretty close to each other and they
have other options available.

Are they ready?

Namaste

Cynthia
