I actually did one thing first before I did this method with our skittish
gerbils... I put my hand palm down in the cage and kept my hand still and
just let them get used to my hand and smell before I did the bathtub
thing.....and then I only did the bathtub thing for about 15-20 minutes a
day (unless they were just too scared after about 5-10 minutes....and then I
just put them in the cage again) It has taken about 2 weeks (and I have done
this everyday....and sometimes twice a day) And I have foxy and Jaws now
pretty much hand trained....and Donte and Molly don't bite anymore
