Try tetracycline in the drinking water, and leave the nose alone except maybe
swab with saline.  Sounds like in this case the ointment is doing more harm
than good since it just makes her scratch more.  I had this happen with one
of mine, except it started as an allergic reaction that got infected because
she kept digging at it.  The vet suggested leaving the nose alone and using
tetracycline, and it worked.  Of course I had to remove the stuff she was
allergic to as well. :)
