So glad you found your doggie, did he have ID tags on or anything? Those are
always a good idea, I keep mine on my pom even in the house--you never know
when he'll bolt. There are also tattoos and microchips available--shelters
are required by law to check for them when a dog comes in. It can save your
pet's life so they're always a good idea. ::sheepish:: I'd have tattooed my
pom, myself, except I missed the clinic at our obedience class last week.
(Of course I wasn't exactly looking forward to holding him while they did
it, either) But really it *is* a good idea =) Not to mention pets are stolen
every day and people are a lot less likely to take a dog that is tattoo'd
(bunchers can't sell them to labs) and of course, spayed/neutered (for the
puppymill folks)
