Hi- As always, as one gerbil dies, another grows ill. When Ike died, Cindy broke her leg. Now that Angel died, Mike has a growth in his ear. He's been at the vet today getting checked. The vet diagnosed a hard tumor that's closed in his ear canal (Not, as I assumed, the cyst described on the NGS health pages). There is an ear infection that was treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, but it looks like there is no treatment options. Just wait until Mike's quality of life is too grim. Right now, he's still eating, drinking, digging anc gnawing. Anyone have any experience with these hard tumors?
