Hi,
I have an infestation of mites, I know about the archives, I also keep my
own archives, so I have all the basic info, but I have some extra questions:
*What about spraying the water bottle?
*Do I have to spray the whole house, or just the places around the cages?
*I have three cages, one is infected, the other two I don't know, but they
are all at least 2 or 3 metres apart from each other, is this an advantage?
*To freeze the food, this has to be done at 0 F (about -18°C?), I don't know
if our freezer goes that low, what is the maximum temperature that will kill
the mites. (Haven't seen any on the food yet)
*I have to spray for 3 days, but we will be gone from thursday till sunday,
is it very bad if I postpone it that long?
*Does anyone know about mites sprays in Belgium, I will go to the petshop as
soon as possible.
*The infected cage is the one from Daedalus and Icarus, could the wound at
the base of his tail have anything to do with the mites?
*I have some bites too (god, they itch!) do I have to spray meself and all
the people and other pets (two cats) in the house?
I'm afraid to touch any gerbil now.
Thank you all for any help, I almost started crying when I realised what I
was looking at. But I am going to get rid of these bugs!!
