Hi, no offense taken. So, do you drench the cats or
give it to them orally to control the mites? Does it
kill the adults or render them sterile (but still
biting) I know that we use a oral product that
inhibits fleas on the dogs, and makes any flea sterile
(but still biting!), and ivermectin is the ingredient
that controls their heartworms, and I also give it to
the horses. My vet thought that the product I used
would be safe, but I consulted several members of the
board, and no one had ever used it, hence, I was not
that comfortable using it. Vets don't always know the
particulars of exotic animals, and I doubt if
gerbils/rodents played an integral part in their
education, other than learning the safest means to
eradicate them!
