Mike & Ike & Cindy were a breeding trio. Two brothers and their lady. We
don't know who was the father of Cindy's litters, but we had our suspicions.
Some litters had red-eyed pups, but some did not. We thought, maybe, only
one of the two boys carried the recessive p allele, so if he ended up doing
the fertilization, we had a red-eyed litter. Both males were seen to mate
with Cindy.

For awhile all was well. (About 8 months). Then Cindy started biting on
one male. We removed the injured male and Cindy started attacking the
remaining male. He was removed as well. We thought, originally, that the
males were fighting. So we thought that removing one male would solve the
problem. But, then we discovered that the female was the aggressor. In
hindsight, we should have removed Cindy from the males at the first sign of
fighting.

I personally would not create a mating trio unless you have some underlying
necessity.
