Excorsize wheel safe? And something to Meeko

I haven't gotten an excorsize wheel for my Gerbils
yet, because the pet shop I got my Gerbils at didn't
have but this one small one, and plastic ones for
Habitrail cages.

My friend had Gerbils once, and he had a metal
excorsize wheel. One Gerbil was running on the wheel
one day, and the other Gerbil decided he wanted to run
too. The seconde Gerbil attempted to climb into the
wheel, but as he did so, the spoke came down to the
leg of the wheel, and the Gerbil's head was between
the two. Like if you were to throw a stick into the
spokes of a moving bicycle wheel.

So I'm concerned if I get an excorsize wheel. Has
anyone else had any similar problems? Or is there a
way to avoid this?


And to Meeko: I replied to your email about your
Gerbil pups twice now. Did you not get them? Please
respond if you did. I might want them (or some of them
at least).
I live in Bremen, Georgia and would be able to pick
them up, or at least meet half way.
