I'm not sure, but I think even having it in the Attic is still not sufficient. It's *still* available, after all.
I feel we need to physically delete it. Maybe not *now*, since we may need to refer to it, but keeping it available in the Attic is not long term.

Without commenting on why that code was in CVS, I will point out that it is
no longer present, except historically in the Attic. So we could choose to
defend its presence, or not, but it has been removed, which should be
sufficient.
