actually this is a packaging problem so far. The web console was not being included in the package that tried to deploy it, so Jetty had no possible way other than clairvoyance to find the classes.

Alex,

It's NOT your problem :)

Problem is in the jetty module. It is not finding the classes for the tag libraries which are
present in the WEB-INF/classes (in the WAR file).

Steps to repro:
- refresh from cvs.
- run "maven clean" from the main directory.
- run "maven" from the main directory.
- CD to assembly directory
- run "maven clean" from assembly directory
- run "maven deployinstallrun"

thanks,
dims

I looked through the maven.xml file and found no way to start the

If this has changed, that is fine. That the change wasn't noted in
the wiki
isn't fine.
Forgot about that... I'll try to find the relevant spot and update it.
I did post at least one email.

Basically deployment is still taken apart and only properly deployed
and installed geronimo configuration packages work at the moment. Dims
is pushing the boundaries of the possible to try to get the console war
to deploy.

Also, Dims, I looked through the archive to see if you'd posted about the console not being deployable and I didn't find anything, so I'm a bit confused about your exasperated tone. Did I miss something, or is this a continuation of an irc discussion?

We've been talking about it, but I don't remember if it was on IRC.
