To emulate the BBC files the command would be like this...
ffmpeg -f lavfi -i sine=d=900 -y -c:a aac -b:a 320k -ac 2 -ar 48000
320k_900_FFmpeg.m4a

Thanks. I have run 900 second and 3600 seconds. Not a hint of any problem:-

AtomicParsley version: 0.9.6 (utf8)
------------------------------------------------------
Movie duration: 3600.022 seconds (01:0:0.02) - 226.56* kbp/sec bitrate (*=approximate)
Low-level details. Total tracks: 1
Trk Type Handler Kind Lang Bytes
1 soun SoundHandler mp4a und 101953952
     226.56 kbp/s MPEG-4 AAC Low Complexity/LC Profile channels: [2]

But I do not understand the 226.56 kbp/s. What happened to the 320k?

Anyhow can we conclude that ffmpeg is not at fault?
In which case is the problem with BBC or GiP?
Has anybody else noticed this I wonder?
Is this a subject for bug report yet?
Grateful for guidance please.

Finally, please could you help with ffmpeg command I should put in prefs to go straight to FLAC rather than m4a.

Budge
