I think you'll find that this doesn't occur in newer versions of 5.5.5.
(If that's not the answer you're looking for, I can't imagine what is
-- obviously we can't help you change the behavior of a years-old
version of RB. It is what it is; you either stick with it as-is or
upgrade.)
