If you use the Apple pull-down in the upper left of the screen (Mac
OS X)
you will find an entry called Force Quit. It may show up there.
Failing that, you could try the Activity Monitor (to be found in the
Applications:Utility folder).
It has an option to allow you to quit any given process.
