These actions are usually handled by the Operating System. It might be possible for REALbasic to forward some of these events through declares, or in the case of the Macintosh these might be available as AppleEvents.
Either subject is not really a topic for the Getting Started list, and you would be more likely to get more information from the NUG list or from the REALbasic forums.
