Norman,
I know what my system highlight color is (using RB's result =
HighlightColor( )). The problem is that selecting an editfield
word using RB code shows up differently than setting the same word
by double-clicking.
Paul
that's very odd
I just created a new project, put an editfield on the default
windows and put a bevel button on the windows with 2 lines of code
in it's action event
editfield1.selstart = 0
editfield1.sellength = 20
when I type in a long string of text and double click a word I get
my system hilight color
when I press the button it uses the same hilight color
not sure why you'd get a different color
Is it a different color or the Outline of the selected text that I
have seen in the past when working between editfields in the same
window or when another window is in front? This is standard AFAIK and
possibly part of the OS itself.
In Mac it really isn't a problem but in Windows, PushButtons and
BevelButtons can get the focus.
