Hi this is a interesting question,

I do not know Corba and all other used tools.

The stupiedest question:
It is not possible to built objectfiles.
like ghdl -a *.vhd and link it together in icarus?
Both tools use gcc as compiler.

Icarus has also a PLI interface.

Why is such simple solution not possible?

I do not need mathlab or modelsim. Only mixed simulation VHDL and
verilog.
GHDL meets icarus. ;->
