I understand the possible reasons
but usually, programs compiled with GCC are
not automatically under GPL, so the situation
is probably not obvious for most users.

I think that it is the wrong question (even if justified).
If something like that is possible then it will be done.
It is only a matter of time before it becomes commonplace
and someone finds new uses for this method of distribution.

Maybe you could dual-licence the GRT and paying customers
could distribute the binaries at will, and you would
earn some money to finance your work ?
