May I ask what the intent behind this rather unusual question is?

Is there some kind of commercial value to a runnable VHDL model created
with GHDL?

Does someone want to distribute these in some way and is therefore
asking about runtimes and so on?

In past threads its been discussed how GHDL is very standards compliant
and while its run-time is fast enough for most projects, it is several
times slower than other simulators which handle event queues for the
delta-cycle simulation of defunct VHDL processes differently than GHDL,
and also was discussed briefly the difficulties of implementing a
multi-threaded event-driven simulator kernel.

So at best, a runnable GHDL binary is an abstract VHDL implementation of
a digital design, that is simulation-cycle accurate, and can serve as a
proof of concept or for correctness against test benches, but does not
in itself constitute any kind of synthesizable model, and of limited
commercial value.

(Please correct any mistaken assumptions I may be making above)

Hence, if someone could explain the intent behind this question, other
than an academic discussion, it would be appreciated.

S.
