We use Debian GNU/Linux as main platform, you can find more about the tools we use here: http://fpgalibre.sourceforge.net/intro_en.html A much more detailed explanation can be found here: http://fpgalibre.sourceforge.net/ But the text is in spanish. We basically use SETEdit as text editor (from CVS), for the symbols search we use a modified version of ectags (to support VHDL). To automate all we use the classic GNU make tool. For synthesis we use the command line versions of the Xilinx tools (as ISE also does). We have some nice tools like a very simple lintian (to check styling), a small preprocessor (to compose VHDL sources from small archives, something like a "generic" for sources ...), etc. As wave viewer we use GTKWave (loading GHW files). We have a command line wrapper to avoid using iMPACT from its GUI, it makes things faster (i.e. automagic) Regards, SET -- _______________________________________________________________ Ing.
