I did a quick testrun with today's snapshot to see if I can still build a Debian package. It looks good. The build runs almost without problems. The resulting compiler works well on my favorite VHDL project. I ran into one problem: ( cd translate/gcc ; ./dist.sh sources ) fails. ~/ghdl/translate/gcc$ ./dist.sh sources ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘ghdl-0.31dev/vhdl/libraries/ieee2008/README.ieee’: No such file or directory It is easy to fix by adding "mkdir $VHDLDIR/libraries/ieee2008" in the function do_clean in dist.sh. I'm looking forward to the release. Clearly a lot of bugs have been fixed and GHDL will be easier to build on modern systems. Regards, Joris.
