I don't know what mcode represents in this context (obviously not MATLAB scripts). Have you stopped testing and supporting the gcc version? mcode is the integrated code generator, which can be used instead of the gcc backend. It is way faster and smaller, but generated code is worse than gcc -O. The gcc version is still supported. Tristan.
