Check the "Adobe Photoshop 6.0 File Formats Specification - Version 6.0 Release 2 November 2000". The file I have is named ps6ffspecsv2.pdf, and I think it came with the SDK, but I could be wrong. All the SDK documentation files can be downloaded individually from Adobe's web site. The description is on page 49.
